Alysia is passionate about helping individuals find or rediscover a sense of self-compassion and
belonging within themselves. So often, the pressures of life, past experiences, or difficult
relationships can distance us from our own worth. Reconnecting with ourselves in a kind and
accepting way is not just healing, it is essential. Alysia believes that when we begin to feel at
home within ourselves we create the foundation for true mental well-being and become more
resilient, more connected with others, and more able to live with intention and joy. Alysia can
support you in building this relationship with yourself - gently, honestly, and at your own pace.
Alysia graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) in 2016. She
completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and then went on to the Master of Social
Work (MSW) program’s clinical stream. Throughout university, Alysia focused on experiences of
trauma and how these can influence and intersect with patterns of emotion, behaviours, and
relational interactions throughout the lifespan. After university, Alysia worked in the field of youth forensics, which has helped her build a passion for working with complex mental health needs and supporting individuals in navigating various systems. Alysia approaches each session with a client-focused lens, believing this creates a more empowering and meaningful experience towards individual’s mental health goals.
